All the parts of the company are useful. However, not all departments need the same tender loving care as some. That is why one wrong move can mean the end of the business which is the reason for all the security measures and the safety issues needed to ensure that everything is working well. Every bit and piece that comprises a data center should be working well and they should be working together.
Actually, data center management is not just checking if the servers are still blinking or checking to see if the temperature inside the area is the right temperature needed by the servers and other computer equipments to function well. It is so much more than that. That is why you need to have efficient people running it. You need people that know how to manage the entire area both software and hardware plus systems that do not require having people managing it.
